In April of 2022, I joined the Board of the Southland Chapter (Los Angeles) of the Alzheimer’s Association. Finding a cure for Alzheimer’s Disease has always been an interest for me both personally and professionally. My beloved grandmother “Moo” was afflicted with this disease and lived for years with no memory or recognition of her family which was heart-breaking to experience. On the professional side, I have been involved in long term care as the CEO of the largest LTC insurance claims payer and administrator in the country. Alzheimer’s Disease represents the largest claim that an insurance company will pay and I have seen first-hand the financial pressure and emotional stress that this diagnosis puts on a family…therefore I am all in for finding a cure!
Last year, as a new Board member the first thing I did was form a team for the LA Walk To End Alzheimer’s. I had never done anything like this before and had never asked my friends, family or business colleague’s to donate to a cause. I was a little nervous when I hit the “send” button launching an email to many of my personal and business contacts. Much to my surprise, the response was overwhelming and Goldstein’s Mission Possible, was the number one Walk fundraiser in LA. The level of support was incredible and made me think about charitable giving in a whole new light. I am once again looking to make a difference, so am asking you to please support us by joining our team and making a donation. Let's together break last year’s record and help the Alzheimer's Association find a cure. Thank you!
