As a home care agency that serves the senior community, we see far too often how Alzheimer’s and Dementia affects our clients and their families. As our motto states, “To us, it’s personal," and we do consider this a cause that is close to our hearts. Imagine visiting your mom and she thinks she’s meeting you for the first time. What if you were having lunch with your dad and he suddenly becomes confused and starts screaming at you. This is an unfortunate reality for our families living with Alzheimer’s and Dementia.
As much as we do to alleviate the heartache and struggle our families experience, the only real remedy is a cure. The money and awareness raised further supports extensive research in finding a cure. Every year, we support the Walk to End Alzheimer’s because we believe that one day, we will see a world without Alzheimer’s.
