I am participating in the Walk to End Alzheimer's because I am committed to raising awareness and funds in the fight against the nation's sixth-leading cause of death.  As many of you know, my mother, Marilyn, passed away in 1991 from early onset Alzheimer's disease.  My dear sister, Marcia, also lost her life in 2015 to this same illness at the age of 66. The end of Alzheimer's starts with me, but I can't do it alone. I am forming my team again this year, "Golden Goldberg's", in memory of my mother and sister. Please join my team, walk with Bill and I, and help us to raise donations to fund research and eradicate this awful disease.  As many of you know, this April I had spine surgery. As I recover, I am more than ever determined to walk again this year. This experience has made me appreciate even more how important our health counts every single day and how it can be taken away in  an instant. Gratitude for all of my friends and family is my word of the year. You are all so precious in my life.  

The walk is scheduled to be held Sunday, October 16, 2022 and we are planning on an in-person Walk at this point, with the option of walking in your own neighborhood if preferred. Please join us and sign up under my team name by clicking the Join My Team button.  We are walking at LA Pierce College this year (6201 Winnetka Avenue in Woodland Hills). This should be a pleasant, safe walk.

I know this year has been financially challenging for many people, so even a small donation would be appreciated. This disease does not stop and we need to find a cure.
