My mother Bea's losing battle with Alzheimer's ended in January 2013. In her honor I walk and volunteer to help reclaim the future for millions. By participating in the Alzheimer's Association Walk to End Alzheimer's, I'm committed to raising awareness and funds for Alzheimer's research, care and support. I have joined the Alzheimer's Assoc. SCV Walk committee once again to plan and organize this event.
Last year you helped me raise over $1000. I'm counting on you to help me get to at least $1500 this year. The Alzheimer's Association makes funding research for a cure and new medications to delay symptoms a priority. Let's do our part.
Currently, more than 5 million Americans have Alzheimer's and that number is expected to grow to as many as 16 million by 2050. Our future is at risk unless we can find a way to change the course of this disease.
I need your support to do my part! Please make a donation or join the walk to help the Alzheimer's Association advance research into prevention, treatments and a cure for Alzheimer's. For the millions already affected by the disease, the Association offers care, education, support and resources in communities nationwide. Registration is free and there is no mandatory fundraising required.
Thank you for joining our movement! The end of Alzheimer's disease starts here. Look for more information on how I can help you raise funds coming soon!
