Raising awareness about Alzheimer's and other forms of dementia became real to me when my wonderful mom developed dementia and again when my husband was diagnosed with Alzheimer's. The toll that this disease takes on individuals with the disease and those who love and care for them is hard to imagine until you are there. I want to increase support for caregivers and have found amazing support through CareBlazers.com, without whom I cannot imagine making this journey. I have named my team SoCal CareBlazers to honor and bring attention to this amazing group of caregivers like me. No one understands better than other caregivers.
