Hello everyone,
This year we are once again writing on behalf of my mom, Kathy. This last year has definitely been the hardest as far as decline and changes for our family. It is difficult to watch someone who had so much life in them, be reduced to a shell of themselves. While early onset Alzheimer's has taken so much form her and our family, we have peace knowing she still had a good life and continues to spend time with family. Even though she does not recognize her grandchildren, we know they make her extremely happy.
We hope that every donation leads to some advancement of treatment, possible even a cure. We hope there comes a day when a diagnosis does not have to mea what it does today. That is can be treated, slowed down and cured. That no one has to live like this. That someone can still live a long and fulfilling life surrounded by loved ones.
