Mom was diagnosed first with mild cognitive impairment, and then a year later with dementia. She is progressing. Dad takes care of her, it's a full time job and he is stressed and sad. Alzheimer's is a disease which impacts the entire family and it's so much more than being forgetful. It's a devastating disease. They call it "the slow goodbye".  I'm supporting the Alzheimer's Association in honor of my parents. 

Alzheimer’s isn’t stopping and neither are we. By participating in the Alzheimer’s Association Walk to End Alzheimer’s, I’m raising funds and awareness to advance the fight against this disease — funds that allow the Alzheimer’s Association to provide 24/7 care and support while accelerating critical research.
