I Walk To End Alzheimer's because I have experienced firsthand the horrifying realities of this terrible disease. Joe, my husband and soul mate of 22-1/2 years, lived with Alzheimer's for 10 years. I lost him in June 2018, he was 69 years old.
We both started Walking To End Alzheimer's in 2014 after meeting a wonderful, supportive couple, Jan and Dean M., at a Caregiver Support Group Meeting. Joe's last Walk was in 2017. He felt very strongly about supporting the effort to End Alzheimer's.
I will continue to Walk in his honor and support the efforts to End Alzheimer's for all of those suffering with the disease today and those who will be diagnosed in the future.
Thank you for joining me in the fight against Alzheimer's!
