I never thought I would be joining the fight to end Alzheimer's and now I am in my THIRD year! Like many, all it took was to experience what it does to a loved one in order to decide to do something about it! By participating in the Alzheimer's Association Walk to End Alzheimer's, I'm raising funds and awareness to advance the fight against this disease -- funds that allow the Alzheimer's Association to provide 24/7 care and support while accelerating critical research.

It is hard for the patients and their Families facing Alzheimer's and all other dementia to accept their new reality and face it.

Nunca pensé que me uniría a la lucha para erradicar el Alzheimer's y estoy en mi TERCER año. Como muchos, no fue hasta que experimenté lo que significa ver a un ser querido con esta condición me motivé a tratar de hacer algo al respecto. Al participar en la caminata para erradicar el Alzheimer's, estoy recaudando fondos para proveer ayuda y educación a pacientes y cuidadores, y para adelantar la investigación para encontrar la cura. Para los pacientes y familiares, en muy difícil aceptar y enfrentar la realidad del Alzheimer's y demencia.
