Alzheimer’s disease is relentless. So are we.

Team Awesome has been walking ever since the Walk to End Alzheimer's came to Decatur, Alabama (Limestone/Morgan County Walk to End Alzheimer's.  I, Brenda (the short-gray haired gal), have been walking for 25 years in memory of my mother, first in Huntsville in 1997, way back when it was still called the Memory Walk.  When the Walk came to Decatur, some Calhoun staff and students said, we're walking with you!!!  One of them gave it the name "Team Awesome".

Some of the staff and students have moved on, but there are some still walking with us, as well as some Decatur residents I've met who, like me, have lost a parent or grandparent to Alzheimer's.   I would like to invite Calhoun Community College students, faculty, and staff from both the Decatur and Huntsville campuses to help our team grow and join "Team Awesome" to walk with us.  Please help us support this great cause and walk in memory of or in honor of someone you have known and loved.
