Families facing Alzheimer’s and all other dementia need us now more than ever — and with your help, we can be there for them. My mother, Dianne Johnson, suffered from this disease for many years. We watched life skills slowly be taken away with each year that passed. This cruel disease was a thief, stealing so much from her & her loved ones. It took her ability to remember cherished memories, her ability to recall her children & grandchildren’s names, the ability to be mobile & independent, and finally, the ability to care for herself & her body’s needs to stay alive. My mom went from being a devoted wife and family serving mother to completely bedridden and totally dependent, needing assistance from those who once she so lovingly cared for for so many years. At the end of her fight against the disease, I had the privilege to be my mother’s caregiver. It was my honor to give back to her what she once provided to me. She succumbed to Alzheimer’s on March 23, 2021. So, November 12th, each step of my walk will be in her memory and every dollar I raise to fight this non discriminating disease will be for those who are currently battling too. Please make a donation or register as a participant and start your own fundraising. I need your help.
Together, we can end Alzheimer’s disease.
Thank you!
