Allyson first began showing symptoms of Alzheimer's after she turned 50. This year she turns 62 on May 27, 2023. We raise money for research in Allyson's honor, and we will continue for many more years.
When her illness began she was the Director of Human Resources for HOAR Construction here in Birmingham. She was vibrant, outgoing, articulate, a great writer, she ran half marathons and she loved people. She especially loved helping the underdog. Today she cannot speak and her mobility is severely challenged. In short, now she is the underdog. BUT, SHE IS STILL ALLYSON. She still loves people and loves to help others. She is helping by having this page to raise money for research to beat this horrible disease before it attacks others. I pray you will join our family in this fight.
