Support our team for the Alzheimer's Association Walk to End Alzheimer's®, the world’s largest event to raise awareness and funds for Alzheimer’s care, support and research. My granny, Nell, has struggled with dementia for over 15 years. To know her before her diagnosis was to know a woman full of life despite hardships. You probably weighted a little more because she kept you stocked with homemade cakes and brownies. She never met a stranger, and you could hear her laugh from a mile away.
Though my grandmother is still alive, this disease robbed the world of an intense ray of light for the past 15 years. I walk in solidarity with her ongoing battle. I walk for those that lost years of their own life caring for others. I walk so that one day, no one else will have to watch a loved one slip away from this disease.
