My mother is the primary reason for why I walk. She sacrificed a lot to raise my brothers and I. She was an excellent Math teacher and was always giving of herself to her students. She always thought of others before herself. When she was diagnosed with young-onset Alzheimer's, it was devastating. Walking for her is the least I can do to bring about change.
On November 4, 2021, my mom lost her battle with Alzheimer’s. We miss her terribly. We remember her resilience and strength and walk in her memory.
