Every year I walk in honor of Grandpa & Grandma Sparks. This year my walk is also dedicated to all the Sparks Family & future generations of our family to help this disease from causing anyone anymore heartache. Research shows that those who have a parent or sibling with Alzheimer's are more likely to develop the disease than those who do not have a relative with Alzheimer's. I would like to prevent this disease from having a bigger impact on my family and family members. I walk in hopes of preventing this from happening to them. I didn't know about this disease until it affected my family and by then it was too late for my grandpa. I want people to learn more about what a serious disease this is and get the attention it deserves. If you know the signs then you can get the disease diagnosed early on & possibly have more options available to you to prevent the disease from getting worse.
