Hello dear family and friends,
I've been involved for a few years now with this organization, along with my cousins, after losing my dear grandmother to this horrible disease. As many of you may know on May 15, 2019 my mother was diagnosed with Dementia. Over the past year and a half we have watched her condition worsen at a faster rate. She no longer knows that I'm her daughter. She can no longer talk about the memories our family has made together. On February 28th of this year we moved her into an assisted living/memory care residence. She is no longer interested in any hobbies, she used to love to crochet, loved good food, loved flowers, loved slot machines. Not anymore. She becomes very angry quickly and for no reason. She has become someone our family hardly recognizes and there are only short brief moments when we can smile and say, there's mom, It breaks our hearts with each and every visit. If this disease has affected your family, then you know how devastating it truly is. I DO NOT WISH THIS UPON ANYONE. I hope you can find it in your heart to donate whatever you can toward this tremendously needed organization. No amount is too small. Last year both our team and myself had a record year for fundraising but we cannot stop. Currently 6.5 million Americans are living with this disease and it's projected that by 2050 13 million will be. We HAVE TO STOP IT! I love you all and truly appreciate anything you can give. Thank you for your support! I know my mom would thank you too!
Together, we can end Alzheimer's disease. Please make a donation to advance the care, support and research efforts of the Alzheimer's Association.
