Nearly 10 million dementia caregivers are employed and work an average of 35 hours per week while caregiving. Over 25% of dementia caregivers are in the sandwich generation providing care for at least one child as well as aging parents. How many of these caregivers work at your company?
You may not hear about their struggle, but their efforts are heroic. Show them you care by taking part in the Building Memories Construction Challenge. Led by GLY Construction in its second year, we’d love for you to join us as we build memories and work towards a future without Alzheimer’s and all other dementias. All funds go directly to the care, support, research and advocacy efforts of the Alzheimer's Association here in Washington State.
Who: Companies in the construction industry in the Puget Sound and King County
When: Walk Day! October 1, 2022 at Seattle Center
What: There will be 3 “Winning” companies who win not only bragging rights, but also a traveling trophy and additional prizes. The awards will go to the company with the most employee participation, the company with the highest team fundraising total, and to a Partner of the Year.
