I'm taking part in raising both awareness about Alzheimer's disease and money for continued research and support for individuals and families affected by this devastating disease.  This year's Alzheimer's Association Walk to End Alzheimer's® is scheduled in Pierce County for September 24th. Currently, more than 5 million Americans have Alzheimer's and that number is expected to grow to as many as 14 million by 2050. Our future and the futures of our children and grandchildren are at risk unless we can find a way to change the course of this disease.

Together, we can end Alzheimer's disease. Please make a donation to advance the care, support and research efforts of the Alzheimer's Association. This cause became near and dear to my heart as I was assigned to work with many clients, caregivers, and family members affected by this disease in the last few years of my social work career.  I, along with those I met and assisted, thank you for joining the fight against Alzheimer's!
