at a slow pace. Gradually increased distance and pace. These days I walk an average of close to 3 miles per day with my longest walk being 10 miles, recently.
Why am I sharing my story; I was lucky that my condition was diagnosed and with cures available, I was put back on a path to a healthy heart by a competent team of heath care providers.
My friends, People who get diagnosed with Alzheimer's do not have the good fortune to come back from this devastating disease. Although there has been progress in understanding this disease, there is no cure. By participating in the Alzheimer's Association walk I am raising funds and awareness to advance the fight against this disease- funds raised will allow the Alzheimer's Association to provide 24/7 care and support while accelerating critical research.
Although The walk is officially scheduled for OCT 1st in King county, I am planning my personal walk on Saturday September 24th. I will be walking SOLO up to 10 miles based on your generous cumulative donations of $1000.00 per mile from South Bellevue to Seattle through Mercer Island, over I-90 Bridge and back. If you are interested to walk with me and help me raise funds please let me know and I will provide you with the address of our starting point.
Families facing Alzheimer's and all other dementia truly need us now more than ever - and with your help we can be there for them.
Humbly appreciate your donations no matter how big or small, every dollar matters.
Thank you for helping advance Alzheimer's support, care and research.
