Many years ago by Dad started exhibiting symptoms consistent with dementia and died this last spring. He was very confused about what was happening to him even though he was all too familiar with this disease as he took care of his mother who had also suffered from Alzheimers. Because this disease attacks the brain he didn't understand. Although, we remembered his story and reminded him often, sadly this this debilitating and cruel disease stole his story from him.
It is so important that we raise awareness and increase urgency for research and education. Not only is this disease painful to witness, it is an enormous economic burden to families and our economy as a whole.
Will you help me spread the word and donate to my fundraising effort this September 10th as I walk to to help end Alzheimers?
Alzheimer’s isn’t stopping and neither are we. By participating in the Alzheimer’s Association Walk to End Alzheimer’s, I’m raising funds and awareness to advance the fight against this disease — funds that allow the Alzheimer’s Association to provide 24/7 care and support while accelerating critical research.
Families facing Alzheimer’s and all other dementia need us now more than ever — and with your help, we can be there for them. Please make a donation or register as a participant and start your own fundraising. Together, we can end Alzheimer’s disease.
Thank you for helping advance Alzheimer's support, care and research.
