While Andy, like so many others, lost his battle with Alzheimer's, his courage, leadership and determination that we will get to a day where prevention, treatment and cure become a reality... never wavered. This is Team Andy’s sixth year as part of the Upper Valley Walk to End Alzheimer's and I join family, friends, and others in honoring my husband, Andy, and countless others we have lost to this cruel disease.
Today, there are more than 6 million families throughout the US who are struggling with Alzheimer's or another form of dementia, and that number is growing. Most all of us have friends or family members who have already been touched by this disease and understand how difficult this journey is. We know, however, that ground breaking science is beginning to unlock the doors to diagnosis, prevention and potential treatments but recognize there is still a lot of hard work to be done.
Please join Team Andy to help us get this work done. As part of Team Andy we can help raise awareness about Alzheimer's disease and raise funds that will accelerate research and support programs for persons with dementia and their families. These families… and our families… need every one of us to join in the fight to end Alzheimer’s.
No matter where you live, I hope you will walk with us on Saturday, October 1. Please register today to be part of Team Andy and walk, wherever you are, with family and friends as part of the fight to end Alzheimer's.
Thank you to each of you. I am grateful for your continuing help and support and know that together we make a difference.
Go Team Andy!
Thank you for helping advance Alzheimer's support, care and research.
