You will pick up a Promise Garden Flower when you get to the Walk Site.
The Flower Colors each Represent a different tie to the disease.
Blue is for someone currently living with Alzheimer’s or another dementia.
Yellow is for someone providing Care (professional care or a family member) to those living with Alzheimer’s or another dementia.
Orange is for an advocate of the vision of a world without Alzheimer’s Disease and all other dementia.
Purple is if you have lost someone to the disease.
Feel free to decorate or write on it!
Keep your flower with you during our opening ceremony, as you will raise your color in solidarity with everyone else who holds that color when the time comes.
Once the ceremony has concluded and you go out on your Walk, and then hand it to our Promise Garden attendants on either side of the Start/Finish arch as you leave.
When you arrive back on site you will see the beautiful display of hope, planted inside the fencing at St. Denis’ Church and you can find your flower and take it home with you.
