Alzheimer’s isn’t stopping, and neither are we. By participating in the Alzheimer’s Association Walk to End Alzheimer’s®, I’m raising funds and awareness to advance the fight against this disease — funds that allow the Alzheimer’s Association® to provide 24/7 care and support while accelerating critical research.
Families facing Alzheimer’s and all other dementia need us now more than ever — and with your help, we can be there for them. Please make a donation or register as a participant and start your own fundraising. Together, we can end Alzheimer’s disease.
This is personal for me: my mother (Dr. Patricia E. Cearley), her father (Burl Elder), and his sister (Pauline Scott) all died from this disease. My father and I know what it's like to care for a loved one suffering from this disease, as we watched my college professor mother lose the ability to care for herself, to speak, to play the piano, and eventually to even recognize us. My siblings and I live with the thought that this disease could strike one of us in the not-too-distant future. I want to do my small part to help eradicate this disease so that another family doesn't have to go through this, and I humbly ask for your support. Any amount you can donate will help fight this disease and to provide information and support to caregivers.
Thank you from the bottom of my heart!
