Today is the first day of Alzheimer's & Brain Awareness Month.
Why I do I Walk? I Walk to End Alzheimer’s to honor my grandmother, Charlotte, my mom, Jackie and my sister, Suzie. I have lost the 3 of the most important women in my life to Alzheimer's disease. It is the 3rd leading cause of death in Williamson County. I have been advocating for the @alzheimer's association for over 5 years.
My daughter, Maggie, just graduated high school. I cannot tell you how painful it was not to have my mom and sister there. I lost my sister one year ago on March 31st to Alzheimer's disease. She was Maggie's biggest fan and she and her husband Jay stepped up to be grandparents to my children in the absence of my own parents.
I fight for them and for my daughter Maggie. We need a cure to END this horrible disease that affects so many families that we know and love.
If you have been touched by Alzheimer's disease, Join my Team and walk with us. We believe the first survivor of Alzheimer's is out there today. I sincerely appreciate you friendship and support to #ENDALZ
Thank you for helping advance Alzheimer's support, care and research.
