For the past few years, I've participated in the annual Walk the End Alzheimer’s. This walk raises awareness and funds for research for this awful disease. I walk in honor of my father-in-law, Woody Williamson, who was diagnosed in the spring of 2018. Woody and Sherry (my mother-in-law) moved in with our family shortly after diagnosis as we have committed to partnering with them over the duration of this disease. I’ve seen firsthand the struggles and changes that have happened over the last few years. It's truly heartbreaking. I’ve spoken with many people that have lost loved ones to this disease, and it does not get any easier. More research is needed, and there are still more questions than answers. I’d be honored if you would consider supporting me in this event. Last year, I did the walk, and added a challenge of running a half marathon. This year, I plan to do the community walk, run a half marathon, and cycle 50 miles the day after the half marathon. I'm asking my family, friends, and close colleagues to consider sponsoring me for $2 per mile in the half marathon ($26) or $1 per mile on the bike ($50).
Every dollar raised helps, and no amount is too small. I’m happy to answer any questions you may have and I thank you in advance for your consideration.
I hope you will stand with me in this fight. Together, we can end Alzheimer's.
Thank you for helping advance Alzheimer's support, care and research.
