This is the 4th year that I have been honored to walk on behalf of the memory of my Grandma.
Grandma loved butterflies. Butterflies took on a different meaning to me once Grandma was diagnosed with dementia. Similar to the insect that changes, Grandma changed. While her sweet spirit never did, Grandma felt the mental effects of dementia.
I walk to honor her and everyone who has been diagnosed with Alzheimer's. I walk to support their caretakers, family and friends. I walk to help end Alzheimer's.
