The end of Alzheimer's disease starts with ME & YOU! I will be walking in MEMORY of my Mom, Dorothy Barber, who went home to be with her Lord on January 28th, 2021! I pray that through funds raised this year, we will help find a cure for this devastating disease. My Mom had dementia that progressed over a 6 year period, but thankfully she still knew who we were the last time we saw her. Many families are dealing with the horrible effects of this disease not only physically, emotionally but also FINANCIALLY! Currently, more than 5 million Americans have Alzheimer's, and that number is expected to grow to as many as 16 million by 2050. For every person currently battling Alzheimer's, or another dementia, an estimated THREE unpaid caregivers are upending their lives and their OWN financial security to care for them. And Alzheimer's is one of the most costly diseases, with a lifetime cost of care of over $350,000. This is someone's retirement. Or the legacy they planned to leave to their children and grandchildren. And heaven forbid they don't have the money for their care, or for their loved one's care.

This disease will touch each and every one of us, in some way, but, together, we can END Alzheimer's disease.
