David A. Carney passed away on December 8, 2021, peacefully in his sleep.
David died in our home, surrounded by his beloved dogs, Michael and myself. We made sure he was never alone and although he was not awake and conscious the last week of his life, we made sure that we talked to him and had his music playing so he would feel comfort and love.
David fought a brave fight against Alzheimer's and through it all he still had that wonderful smile that would light up his eyes and that wicked sense of humor. He was a man of honor and kindness and will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
I am determined more than ever to continue this fight in David's memory. Can you please help me by donating to the Aiken Walk to End Alzheimer's? Any amount is greatly appreciated and will go to find a cure for this terrible disease.
PLEASE DO NOT LET DAVID'S DEATH BE IN VAIN - support Alzheimer's so that one day we can announce a survivor!
THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR YOUR SUPPORT.
Thank you for helping advance Alzheimer's support, care and research.
