I'm walking to help reclaim the future for millions. By participating in the 2022 Alzheimer's Association Walk to End Alzheimer's, I'm committed to raising awareness and funds for Alzheimer research, education, care, support and resources in the Communities.
I will be Walking To End Alzheimers again this year at Overlook Park  Saturday, September 26th.
Facts for Alzheimers
An estimated 5.2 million Americans have Alzheimer's disease in 2014, including approximately 200,000 individuals younger than age 65 who have younger-onset Alzheimer's. 1 in 3 seniors dies with Alzheimer's or another dementia.
In her 60s, a woman's estimated lifetime risk for developing Alzheimer's is 1 in 6. For breast cancer it is 1 in 11.
Alzheimer's is officially the 6th leading cause of death in the United States and the 5th leading cause of death for those aged 65 and older. However, it may cause even more deaths than official sources recognize. It kills more than prostate cancer and breast cancer combined.
I'm sure you know of someone or a loved one that has Alzheimers. Alzheimers affects everyone. it doesn't care about age or who you are. I know because I was a Nurse and lost my job 10yrs. ago because of Alzheimers AND I'm only 60yrs. old. I have been laughed at, yelled at and called stupid because of Alzheimers. People don't realize that Alzheimers even affects someone younger than 65yrs. old. My husband passed away from a stroke and alzheimers, it isn't easy living with this horrible disease and helping a loved one with the disease.
Please help me so we can conquer this battle of Alzheimers before it's too late! The research may be too late for me but please help and donate before Alzheimers affects AND Robs your Grandparents, Parents, Sister, Brother, or Loved One! Your donation of any amount will help and All of it goes to the Alzheimers Association. No amount is too small and will be greatly appreciated!
