Please Help Me Find a Cure!
Alzheimer's disease and dementia have touched my family deeply and I walk in memory of Grandmom, Paul, AnnaMae, Lois, Uncle Jim, and in honor of their caregivers. I also walk in honor of my friend, Jim, living with early onset Alzheimer's. Watching someone you love "disappear" from themselves is heartbreaking. There is no prevention and no cure for this disease.
But, I am so pleased to share that my nephew, a PhD in Chemistry at Emory University, is back doing Alzheimer's research!
More than six million Americans are estimated to have Alzheimer's today, and EVERYONE who has the disease will die of it or with it. There are no survivors.
