Many of you know how much I loved my Grandma Faye, but many of you have never heard me speak of my Grandma Mary.
Before I even had the chance to know her, Grandma Mary passed away very early in her 60’s from Alzheimers Disease.
Hearing stories from my father, and looking at photos and her driver’s license, she was a blue-eyed blonde who was 5’8”, very independent, and smart. Just like me.
Grandma Mary’s death so young has been on my mind my entire life, and today I’d like you to join me to support this cause: The Walk to End Alzheimers. I’m fundraising as well, and any donation would be welcome.
Alzheimer’s isn’t stopping and neither are we. By participating in the Alzheimer’s Association Walk to End Alzheimer’s, I’m raising funds and awareness to advance the fight against this disease — funds that allow the Alzheimer’s Association to provide 24/7 care and support while accelerating critical research.
Families facing Alzheimer’s and all other dementia need us now more than ever — and with your help, we can be there for them. Please make a donation or register as a participant and start your own fundraising. Together, we can end Alzheimer’s disease.
Thank you for helping advance Alzheimer's support, care and research.
