My dad was full of life. His laugh contagious. His love for his family and friends enormous. He loved fishing, hunting and gardening to provide food for everyone around him. He worked hard to support a lifestyle of fun for our family. 

The last few years on earth were hard. He struggled with memory and day to day activities. The last great memory of him at his home for me was watching a Giants game. He loved baseball. Someone hit a home run and dad tesponded with “And it’s outta there!!!”  Was that him telling me this was it?  No more conversation or knowing what’s happening to him?  I miss him everyday.

Alzheimer’s isn’t stopping and neither are we. By participating in the Alzheimer’s Association Walk to End Alzheimer’s®, I’m raising funds and awareness to advance the fight against this disease — funds that allow the Alzheimer’s Association® to provide 24/7 care and support while accelerating critical research.
