I walk to honor the memory of my father, John Reed. He passed away from Alzheimer’s complications on January 25, 2021. I first participated in the Walk To End Alzheimer’s last year, on October 16, in Harrisonburg, VA. In the town where my parents first met, at Eastern Mennonite College (EMC), and where my dad took his last breath, at Virginia Mennonite Retirement Community (VMRC). This year, I will walk on October 15, in Wooster, OH. In the town my parents moved to from Virginia, in January, 1999. Where my dad would continue his lifelong career as a Radiologist at the Cleveland Clinic in Wooster, until his diagnosis in 2011. And where he whole-heartedly embraced the role he most enjoyed in life, as PawPaw to my two sons, Reed and Sam. I walk to honor the memory of my father, John Reed. Will you walk with me?
