2022 will also be the year that I retire.
I’ve always said that a cure for Alzheimer’s would mean I was no longer needed and be the best retirement gift ever. Unfortunately, a cure is still elusive. The good news is that with your help we are getting closer. Just last year the first drug to treat the biological symptoms of Alzheimer's disease was introduced and there are several other drugs in the pipeline right now!
So this year I’ll revise my statement to be, “A donation to my Walk team will be the best retirement gift ever.”
I may be leaving the workforce, but I will never leave the cause that is so important to me. Let's continue making a difference together in the lives of so many affected by Alzheimer’s and other dementias.
