I started my journey with the Walk to End Alzheimer's over 10 years ago now to support the seniors I served in my community. Since then, I've had friends and family diagnosed, shared in their losses and heart breaks, and seen first hand - too many times - the devastation this disease unleashes on those afflicted and those around them.
Since then, I've walked in 14 walks in 3 different cities and raised over a quarter of a million dollars. And yet here we are still fighting. I may be too late for me, but I won't quit fighting to end this disease in my lifetime so my children will be able to know a World Without Alzheimer's.
