We are losing too many people we love to dementia and Alzheimer's disease. Last year, when my stepmother Cheryl who had been diagnosed with Early Onset ALZ in 2018 was taken suddenly from us, I realized that four of my close family members had been lost in three years, all with advanced dementia and/or Alzheimer's disease. Four loved ones. Three years.
Many people I talk to have similar stories. With so many advancements in medicine, how can this be happening? How can we stand by while a horrible disease with no successful treatment and no cure continues to take our loved ones from us. We have to take action to end it.
I am leading the Salesforce CLE Family & Friends team in honor of my loved ones lost: Cheryl, Clete Marjorie, and Tom Quigley, and all of those affected with the hope that with diligent support and research, there will one day be a treatment and cure for Alzheimer's.
Please make a donation if you are able and join my team for the Walk (no donation required). This year, the walk will be held at the Cleveland Metroparks Zoo on Sunday, October 3rd. Please join our team if you can. If you would like to make a donation, it will be put to good use.
Thank you for joining the fight and for your support.
Love,
Louise
