I'm leading the way to Alzheimer's first survivor by participating in the Alzheimer's Association Walk to End Alzheimer's® in memory of Rick's dad (Junior) who was diagnosed with Alzheimer's and passed away in May 2018.
Did you know that in 2020, Covid-19 contributed to a 17% increase in Alzheimer's and dementia deaths? Between 2000 and 2019, deaths from heart disease have decreased 7.3% while deaths from Alzheimer's disease have increased 145%. More than 80% of Americans know little or are not familiar with mild cognitive impairment (MCI), which can be an early sage of Alzheimer's.
