Team Big Guy was created to honor my father, Dave Rozell, who has Alzheimer's disease. A few years ago my father described Alzheimer's disease to me in one word - Cruel. He was spot on with that! Sadly, his disease has progressed over the past few years at such a rapid pace that he no longer recognizes our family and he requires a tremendous amount of personal care.
In selecting a photo to use this year, I've again included my Mom. She is an amazing caretaker and my heart breaks for her everyday. To think that her 54 year love story has been derailed by this disease is just awful. Sadly, the devastation of this disease has impacted too many. We need to continue in the fight to find a cure and also to support this organization. They are instrumental in helping families through this. Thank you for supporting Team Big Guy.
