2020 was a difficult year for all of us, and especially for people with Alzheimer's and their caregivers. The Alzheimer's Walk has always been such a special event, and I was so disappointed not to be in person last year, but then thought about the challenges the pandemic caused families living with this disease. Imagine having to explain to a person with this disease why they have to wear a mask, or having to use Zoom to connect with them, or try and explain why you can't be there in person to visit? It has added tremendous stress to the shoulders of those already carrying a significant load. It's been a heartbreaking time, but I'm so happy to share that the Brooklyn Walk to End Alzheimer's will be back IN PERSON for 2021! I can't wait to join my community at Cadman Plaza Park--something I have taken for granted in years' past but appreciate more than ever. Please walk with me in Brooklyn, or make a donation to advance the care, support and research efforts of the Alzheimer's Association. Thank you!
