I lost my dad to this horrible disease a few years ago. That was the hardest time of my life watching him fight and suffer for two years and ultimately lose the battle to Alzheimer's. He was the most hard-working, loving, caring man in the world and did everything he could to provide for his family. I could have never asked for a better father as he was always there for all his daughters, and did anything he had to do to keep us happy. He was the best dad in the world and I will never forget all the memories we had together. Thank you for showing me what a man and father should be like as you've set my expectations extremely high. I hope you're flying high up there in heaven and watching over me. You will forever be in my heart and I miss you more than anyone can imagine. I will continue to keep your memory alive and I'm looking forward to day we meet again. Love you daddy.
I'm leading the way to Alzheimer's first survivor by participating in the Alzheimer's Association Walk to End Alzheimer's®. Currently, more than 5 million Americans have Alzheimer's and that number is expected to grow to as many as 16 million by 2050. Our future is at risk unless we can find a way to change the course of this disease.
Together, we can end Alzheimer's disease. Please make a donation to advance the care, support and research efforts of the Alzheimer's Association.
