Sophie washed little faces, and held little hands.
Tiny voices called her Nan.
She read stories, kissed boo boos, fixed broken toys,
Wiped tears and warmed hearts of all girls and boys.
Her yard was a rainbow of kid toys and flowers.
She welcomed all guests, no matter the hour.
Sophie cooked and cleaned, and was up before dawn.
To John and to Jody, she was Super Mom.
As the years passed, and her family grew larger,
Sophie laughed & smiled, but remembering grew harder.
Dementia took Sophie's thoughts and her words,
but her heart was still golden - that was for sure.
We love you Sophie. We'll remember now for you.
You grew us up strong, and we'll always adore you!
