Kenneth Welk passed away on Thursday, February 4th 2021 at Immanuel Fontenelle Memory Care after a long-fought battle with Alzheimer’s. He was surrounded by love, while listening to some of his favorite music. Ken was born in Queens, New York and was preceded in death by his parents George and Vivian Welk. After serving in the U.S. Air Force, Ken built a beautiful life in Omaha, Nebraska. He is survived by his wife, Debra, sons, Alexander (Tracy) and Gregory (Nettie), and his five grandchildren, Dylan, Anastassia, Millie, Arabella, and Jacob. And his family continues to grow with the addition of grand daughter Lucile in 2022. Ken will be remembered for his love for family, music, and nature and his incredible sense of humor and wit. An intimate family celebration of life was held at the Welk home that Ken so dearly loved on Sunday, February 7, 2021.
