For those that know me they know how much I love and admire my mom. In the last few years she has had challenges with memory issues. She recently has been very open with people she comes across with how challenging this has become. She is so brave and aware of things affecting her memory. This is incredibly difficult to see. I am walking and raising money to help with the research to help end Alzheimer's and dementia not just because it has affected my mom and touched our lives, but so that research and care can be provided for those in the future as well. I am grateful for every moment we have with mom. I love her to bits. She has always been there for me when I needed help or had serious health challenges myself. Now it's my turn to return the favor. I love you mom and I can't wait to walk with you and the team. And I'm so happy to be here locally near you so we can do everything we can together because we both know because of our personal experiences that each moment is precious in life. Sometimes we forget and lose sight of that. I'm so proud to be your son.
Alzheimer’s isn’t stopping and neither are we. By participating in the Alzheimer’s Association Walk to End Alzheimer’s®, I’m raising funds and awareness to advance the fight against this disease — funds that allow the Alzheimer’s Association® to provide 24/7 care and support while accelerating critical research.
Families facing Alzheimer’s and all other dementia need us now more than ever — and with your help, we can be there for them. Please make a donation or register as a participant and start your own fundraising. Together, we can end Alzheimer’s disease.
Thank you all for your support.
