I'm walking and fundraising again this year to honor those who suffer from this disease, including our neighborhood family friend, Jackie Neubauer. My hope is that others will not have experience the tremendous loss the Neubauer's and others have had to experience. Jackie was always very athletic and I'm certain she would still be out there biking, skiing and remaining active had she not been diagnosed with Alzheimer's.

Currently, more than 5 million Americans have Alzheimer's and that number is expected to grow to as many as 16 million by 2050. Our future is at risk unless we can find a way to change the course of this disease.
