The biggest fundraiser for the Alzheimer's Association is the multiple Walk to End Alzheimer's Events held across the country. Our future is at risk unless we can find a way to change the course of this disease. Donations fund research, clinical trials and progress. We can't stop donating! I walk for multiple reasons. I have family members currently living with this disease. I have lost family members to the disease and through my business, we care for clients and families battling this disease. Currently we only have one drug on the market that actually helps slow the progression of the disease and it is not covered by Medicare. The only way to access is through clinical trial. However, this is progress. The last known drug to help with symptoms was over 18 years ago.
