Dad's struggle with dementia began a little more than ten years ago, and it was a heartbreaking journey as we witnessed the deterioration of a once brilliant mind, a witty personality, and an active body. He lost that battle on Memorial Day 2020.
The truth about Alzheimer's is staggering. Nearly 6 million Americans are living with Alzheimer's and other dementia, and 110,000 are right here in Maryland. And my father was one of them. But I have faith that we can change the course of this devastating disease!Currently, there is no cure, no prevention... and no survivors. It's certainly too late for Dad, but the first survivor IS out there. But that begins with you and me, and together we can end Alzheimer's. I’m asking for your donation to advance the care, support and research efforts of the Alzheimer's Association. Any amount is helpful as we walk for a world without Alzheimer's.
