A man's whose lessons in my young life continue to stay with me in my 50's. A husband, a father, a grandfather whose strength was to now turn to us for help and not fully understand why. I watched him go from a very independent, full of life man to someone who struggled to remember my name. Someone he raised for 47 years. It was a crushing day to say the least.
On June 5th 2019, I lost my father to Alzheimer's disease .There isn't a day that goes by that I don't think of my dad and now my uncle and the impact they both had on my life. It was not only my honor to be my father's daughter and my uncle's niece, but to continue to lead in this effort on behalf of them both and for all families whose loved ones are being robbed from them due to this monster disease.
Please help me bring more awareness and funds to fight Alzheimer's disease's because the end begins with each one of us. Also, I would love for you to join in the walk on October 2nd Every bit counts because #NoOneIsImmune !
