As our family has multiple cases of ALZ and I have been found to have mild cognitive impairment, I have a vested interest in helping to find a cure for current and future generations in our family. I have actively pursued preventive measures currently thought to be potentially helpful. These include primarily Mediterranean diet, lots of fruits and vegetable full of antioxidants and other nutrients, and minimal sugar content with partial fasting every day., MCT oil and limited gluten and others. Optimizing sleep has been a goal as it will help to preserve memory and to correct 50 years of medical practice where I had no such thing as a sleep pattern. I've optimized and maximized exercise on a daily basis and due to all of the above, I've lost 51 pounds as of today and conquered the diagnosis of prediabetes and sleep apnea (which also can affect memory.) I hope to share what I've learned in an attempt to help others. I will continue vigorous study of further measures that will be helpful.
