I lost my father a week before Christmas to a cognitive degenerative condition. It wasn’t textbook Alzheimer’s, but that was the closest label that exists. Shortly after that, I was thinking that I need to find a new volunteer opportunity. Kyle Davern from Indiana's Alzheimer's Chapter called me out-of-the-blue asking if I knew of potential committee members. I took that as God tapping me on the shoulder, so here I am.

My dad actively participated in clinical trials and donated his brain to research. I like to think this is a way to help support more research and carry-on for him.
