Out of the five philanthropies, my sorority focuses on, the Alzheimer's Association is the most well-known. And as a person who is majoring in Social Work and is interested in Gerontology, Alzheimer's Disease is something important to me. Last summer, I worked at Westminster Village where I got to be a caregiver and help the residents in the retirement home. This summer, I will continue growing and learning as an intern at Westminster Village. Some of the residents at Westminster deal with Alzheimer's disease. It was hard to watch them struggle because no one deserves to deal with it. Despite what people may assume, these residents were amazing and are so much more than this disease! As I plan on continuing my life's work with the older generation, I support this movement. This is my final year in Sigma Kappa and I hope you would love to contribute to helping me reach my $200 goal!
Alzheimer’s isn’t stopping and neither are we. By participating in the Alzheimer’s Association Walk to End Alzheimer’s®, I’m raising funds and awareness to advance the fight against this disease — funds that allow the Alzheimer’s Association® to provide 24/7 care and support while accelerating critical research.
Thank you for taking the time to read this and I hope you would help contribute to the cause!
